Christine Ibrahim is The Cirque Songstress

​

A vocalist, aerialist and pianist creating genre-defying performance at the intersection of opera, circus and cabaret. Blending virtuosic vocals with aerial silks, lyra and harness work, she embodies theatrical spectacle. In 2024, she was a finalist on Tu Sì Que Vales, one of Italy’s biggest television shows for her rendition of Habanera for Highwire Entertainment.

Her career includes leading roles with Rouge, Dracula’s Cabaret, Risqué Revue, Infamous Circus and Circus Rio, as well as international touring with Aerial Angels and Torture Garden Japan.

Christine holds a BMus in Contemporary Vocals and AMEB Classical Vocals with Honours.

Her passion for making opera accessible to contemporary audiences is her calling card, notably singing the lyrics of WAP over Mozart, the WAPera, which has since inspired variations within the Australian cabaret circuit.

Christine is currently toruing and performing whilst writing her original opera, The Procession of the Naked Beggars, which seeks to bring a fresh perspective and accesability to Opera as an art form.
